Pontiac- The D Zone has been one of the most consistent sites bringing exposure to high school football players from the state of Michigan for the last decade and on Saturday night they held their first combine giving kids a good taste of what a college or NFL combine is like and there were plenty of good performances.
David Holloman– Maybe the biggest surprise of the day, Halloman was clocked at 4.221 at the combine in the 40 yard dash. Say what you want if it was legit or not but he can fly nonetheless. A 2021 recruit who’s older brother is at Eastern Michigan should see his recruitment take off.
Carson Berenyi– I’ve known about Carson for a while but didn’t know how dominant he really was. Carson set a record (at the time) of 21 reps of 225 and is physical. If he grows an inch or two I think that will benefit him greatly.
Alex Vansummeren– Another Mid-Michigan prospect that made the trip, Vansummeren is physically imposing and is just a freshman. He’s quick for his size and will be a gym warrior just like his older brother, Ben Vansummeren who’s now at Michigan.
Donovan Edwards– The talent rich program at West Bloomfield might have their best prospect under Coach Bellamy yet, with Edwards. The 2021 prospect ran a 4.59 40 yard dash and is widely considered a top 100 player in the entire 2021 class and already has 16 offers including Michigan, Michigan State, Ohio State, Notre Dame among others.
