Bay City Central 2020 WR Devell Washington has been one of the highly touted receivers in a loaded 2020 class in the state and for good reason.

The junior has a number of offers from Michigan, Michigan State, Ohio State among others but there is definitely some schools starting to separate themselves from the others including Michigan where Washington visited Saturday before going to “R1SE” camp at The Legacy Center.

Washington took the trip to Ann Arbor and had a sit down with newly hired offensive coordinator Josh Gattis.

“Coach Gattis is a super cool guy and down to earth as a person and coach,” says Washington. “He’s the real deal and that new offense should be exciting.”

Other than Michigan, Washington has been in contact with Purdue and is planning on visiting soon along with Minnesota.

“I would like to visit both Purdue and Minnesota soon, I’ve been in pretty close contact with both of them.”

Washington is running indoor track right now and doing speed and agility workouts to stay in shape for football he says. Washington had a productive day along with fellow top 2020 receiver Rashawn Williams.
