Chippewa Valley 2019 QB Tommy Schuster has always known he had the ability to play at the next level past high school. Now coaches are starting to see that as well.
Schuster led Chippewa Valley to a D1 State Championship and a 14-0 record this fall and in the State Championship game he broke a MHSAA finals record going a perfect 14-14 for 209 yards and 2 touchdowns.
If that isn’t enough he was a first team All-State selection as the Macomb County Player of The Year.
“All of my accomplishments this year should help my recruiting,” says Schuster. “Achieving things like that shows the level of player that I am.”
Despite all the accolades throughout the year, Schuster holds one offer from NAIA Lawrence Tech.
Schuster has been in contact with many FCS and D2 schools such as Dayton, Valparaiso, Saginaw Valley, Michigan Tech, and Wayne State.
“I’ve visited Dayton, Wayne State, and SVSU so far this year and I’m visiting SVSU again next weekend (December 14th).”
Schuster has no other visits set up for the foreseeable future but also added he will definitely take some more in time.
He added he’s hoping to find an offense that fits him, a school with a good education, and a place that wants him.
