2019 Muskegon Mona Shores WR/DB Ke’Sean Sandifer has been waiting for football season for quite some time, well he’s been waiting since the day his junior year ended.
“I tore my meniscus right before playoffs last year and was out, it was a bummer not to be able to play with my team in the playoffs,” says Sandifer. “We had a lot of key players hurt at crucial times last season and I’m looking forward to seeing how we bounce back this year.”
Sandifer one of the key returners to the team plans on being an integral piece to what he hopes is a successful season and a deep playoff run.
“I’m really looking forward to making a big run in playoffs and helping my team however I can with my energy as one of the team captains.”
Mona Shores has a very talented coaching staff and players headlined by Jacob Wahlberg and Damari Roberson who are both committed to Western Michigan but Sandifer explains how it’s been such a blessing playing with them and for a great team such as Mona Shores.
“It’s truly a blessing. To be coached by Coach Koziak and the rest of the staff is a challenge, but the reward of being ready by game time is worth it. As for my teammates, I’m grateful for them. They’re my brothers, and I love being around them building a bond.”
Sandifer isn’t the biggest player but makes up with it with quickness and heart standing only 5-foot-6, 150 pounds but has started to receive attention from some colleges.
“I’ve heard from a lot of D2 and D3 schools and a couple D1’s such as Cornell.”
Sandifer has no offers to report yet but a healthy and successful 2018 senior season will change that. Mona Shores opens the 2018 schedule with a super talented East Kentwood before taking on an up-coming Bay City Central team.
