Oak Park 2020 WR Maliq Carr was road tripping this past week visiting Iowa on Wednesday and Missouri on Thursday which he holds offers from both schools.
“Both the visits went really well,” says Carr. “I really enjoyed both of them and what they had to offer both football wise and academically. Character is big time in both schools.”
Carr who’s dad (Cornell Mann) is an assistant basketball coach at Missouri but Carr says these trips are focused on football.
“I’m making visits right now for football,” says Carr. “I’m not doing any visits for basketball but I am still playing with The Family 17u in July for AAU.”
Earlier this week the first big 2020 from Michigan committed with Belleville’s defensive back Andre Seldon Jr. making a verbal commitment to The University of Michigan. Carr is happy for Seldon but says it won’t affect his decision.
“I’m really happy for Andre, he deserves it but no it doesn’t to my decision.”
Although it may not matter to Carr’s decision he did make it clear he’s going to be visiting both Michigan and Ohio State in the near future.
“A couple schools I’ve been talking to are Michigan, Ohio State, and Florida. I’m planning on visiting Michigan and Ohio State soon.”
Carr has received numerous Division 1 football offers and four basketball offers. Among those include football offers from Kentucky, Boston College, Iowa, Iowa State, Missouri, and Syracuse.
